Powder Puff football game raises money to combat cancer

Dallas High School Mini-THON hosted a powder puff football game, a role reversal flag football game, recently at the Dallas High School football stadium. The senior girls took on the junior girls and the sophomore girls faced the freshmen girls. All proceeds raised at the event will go towards conquering childhood cancer at the Penn State Children’s Hospital through the Four Diamonds Fund. At Pennsylvania State University each year, a 48-hour dance marathon called THON is held in order to raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund. To date, THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, has raised over $30 million for the children. Dallas High School has been involved with Mini-THON since 2005 and raised over $13,000 last year.
