Trap shoot will benefit 1st Lieutenant Michael J. Cleary Scholarship Fund

There will be a trap shoot on Sunday, Oct. 25, at Irem Temple Country Club as a fundraiser for the 1st Lieutenant Michael J. Cleary Scholarship Fund.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. and costs $25 which includes 50 rounds of trap as well as lunch (hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, etc.). There will also be 50/50 raffles and a Chinese Auction with prizes and gift certificates from a variety of local businesses.

The 1st Lieutenant Michael J. Cleary Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship each year to a graduating senior from Dallas High School in honor of Back Mountain native Michael Cleary who was killed in December 2005 while serving in the United State Army in Iraq.

The trap shoot is sponsored by Dallas Sporting Goods and Northeastern Eye Institute.
