NEVER MIND Chris. For a time we awaited Congressman Carney’s announcement as to which presidential candidate the former intelligence analyst believed should be our next commander in chief. For a much longer time he has kept Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee apparent, waiting and cooling their heels in his outer office. Remaining perched on the fence of indecisiveness is never a good place or even a safe place for an elected official to be found.

A street litter cleanup will be held on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. Volunteers are needed. Any individuals, school, church, civic organization, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are welcome to help. Vests, gloves and bags will be supplied by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The borough street department will pick up the bags.
