Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Heffron, of Nanticoke, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 9. They were united in marriage at Sacred Heart, Luzerne by Rev. William McCawley. Patrick is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Heffron, of Luzerne. Christine is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Polifka, of Buttonwood. The wedding party consisted of maid of honor Evelyn Bryan, bridesmaids Teresa Laskowski and the late Ann Marie Gabel, best man Patrick Bryan and groomsmen the late John Laskowski and Theodore Gabel. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Patrick, of Plymouth Township, and Kimberly, of Plymouth Township. They were also blessed with two grandsons, Devland and the late Patrick Mark, and a granddaughter, Shaylee.
The couple celebrated with a surprise anniversary party with family given by their children.
