Mr. and Mrs. Chester J. Zaremba celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Chester J. Zaremba, of Nanticoke, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Nov. 25, 1967, in Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke, by the late Rev. Walter Poplowski.

Best man was the late twin brother of the bride, Henry Krygier, and the maid of honor was Diane Kempinski Krygier.

Groomsmen were the late Benjamin Grevera, Thomas Zaremba, and the late Leonard Strong. Bridesmaids were Patricia Laska Grevera, the late Bonnie Kwasny Zaremba and Wanda Popeck Zelinski. Junior bridesmaids were Karen Uranowski and Christine Zaremba. The flower girl was JoAnn Michaels, and the ring bearer was Tony Nowak.

Mrs. Zaremba is the former Henrietta Ann Krygier, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (O’Konski) Krygier, of Nanticoke. Mr. Zaremba is the son of the late Chester and Bertha (Ramus) Zaremba, all of Nanticoke.

They are the parents of one son, Michael, married to the former Megan Tennesen, and are the proud grandparents of Tyler, 17, a senior at GNA High School, and Braden, 13, an eighth-grade student at GNA.

Mr. Zaremba is a retired Pennsylvania State Police sergeant, and also a retired chief of police of the city of Nanticoke.
