OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Jordan Fredo kicked a game-winning 20-yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining to give Wilkes a 38-35 win over Stevenson in MAC football action Saturday at Mustang Stadium.
Patrick Inguilli had a career-high 210 yards on the ground and two third-quarter touchdown runs for the Colonels (4-3, 3-3 MAC), the latter tying the game at 28 with 1:44 remaining in the quarter.
Tyler Berntsen led the Colonels offense with three touchdown passes. He had a 19-yard connection with Justin Pellowski in the first quarter and a game-tying 21-yard toss to Dan Curry with 8:54 remaining in the contest, knotting the score at 35.
Defensively, Wilkes was led by safety Paul Gaffney, who had 12 tackles.
The Colonels return home Saturday to face Lycoming at 1 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.
