NANTICOKE - A suspect in a homicide in Carbon County was captured by state police at 146 W. Church St.

State police confirmed that the man they detained is linked to a homicide in Carbon County where a man's body was found in shallow grave near Lake Harmony.

Troopers from the Hazleton,Fern Ridge and Wyoming converged on the double block house on West Church Street and took the suspect into custody shortly before 2 p.m.

The suspectâ??s name was not released.

West Church Street was closed but has since reopened. A trooper with the state police forensic service unit remains on the scene.
