Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has been recognized with a Chief of Staff Award by Community Health Systems, one of the nation's leading operators of general acute-care hospitals. The organization's affiliates include Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and 134 other hospitals in 29 states. Presented at the organization's annual Chiefs of Staff meeting, Dr. Douglas Coslett accepted the award on behalf of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Coslett noted that Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has demonstrated a commitment to quality as evidenced by continuous improvement in Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (HCAHPS) and Core Measure scores since 2009. Community Health Systems CEO Wayne T. Smith, left, presents this year's Chief of Staff Award to Coslett.
