Lisamarie Noella Dierolf and Michael Edward Shires were united in marriage Sept. 29, 2012, at the Historic London Town and Gardens, Annapolis, Md. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Bob Tousey.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Joseph Dierolf and Desiree Dierolf-Evans, Wilkes-Barre. She is the granddaughter of the late Lavon and Patrick Evans and Mary and Ronald Dierolf.
The groom is the son of Lana Shires and the late Art Shires. He is the grandson of the late Charles and Myrta-Jean Mengel and Pete and Katherine Shires.
The bride chose her close friends, Erica Mirigliani, as maid of honor, and Cate Horne as matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Kristin Kotch, Lauren Duffey, Christine Parina, Erin McArdle, Meleah Izzo, friends of the bride.
The flower girl was Talulla Berry and the ring bearers were Ben and Luke Evans.
The groom chose his brother, Mark Shires, as his best man. The groomsmen were Joseph Dierolf Jr., Jason Toraldo, Ryan Hegarty, Will Mcnatt and Mike Howath.
Scripture readings were given by Matthew Evans, Lynn Dierolf, Alison Shires and Kathy Rattenbury.
Following the ceremony, an evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Historic London Town and Gardens.
The bride was honored with a bridal shower given by her mother and bridesmaids at Villa Vito, New Hope, Pa. The rehearsal dinner was given by the mother of the groom at Pussers, Annapolis, Md.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Meyers High School and a 2007 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Baltimore. She is employed by Proteus Technologies, specializing in government contracts. She is also a graduate of Boston University and is self-employed as a photographer.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Spalding High School and a 2004 graduate of Salisbury University. He earned his Masters of Science degree in finance from Loyola University. He's employed by PNC Bank, specializing in risk management.
The couple honeymooned in Mexico. They reside in Pasadena, Md.
