The Shimkoskis

Robert and Dianna Shimkoski, Dupont, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 10. They were married by the late Rev. C.H. Kolakowski at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont.

Robert is the son of the late John and Anna Shimkoski. He is retired from Keystone Coca Cola and presently works for Geisinger Logistics.

Dianna is the daughter of the late Joseph and Lottie Wolak. She is retired from Giant Markets and presently works for Gerrity's Supermarkets.

They are the proud parents of two children, Robert Jr. and his wife, Delicia, Detroit, Mich., and Sandra Jonelunas and her husband, Glenn, Dupont. They also have step-grandchildren.

The couple renewed their vows at the wedding anniversary celebration Mass at St. Peter's Cathedral, Scranton. Principal celebrant was the Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, Bishop of Scranton.

They celebrated their anniversary with a two-week trip to France, touring Paris through Monte Carlo. A family gathering was held at Amedeo's Restaurant, Moosic.
