Lauren Klug and Vito Malacari, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lawrence and Michelle Klug, Hanover Township. She is the granddaughter of the late Russell and Rose Klug, Wilkes-Barre, and the late James and Barbara Tokach, Plains Township.
She is a 2004 graduate of Hanover Area Jr./Sr. High School and a 2008 graduate of Susquehanna University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She earned a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Misericordia University in 2012. She is employed by New Story School, Wyoming, as an occupational therapist.
The prospective groom is the son of Vito and Marie Malacari, Plains Township. He is the grandson of Robert Williams and the late Marie Williams, West Pittston, and Victoria Malacari and the late Dominic Malacari, Wilkes-Barre.
He is a 2004 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and a 2009 summa cum laude graduate of King's College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and secondary education. He is pursuing a master's degree in teaching for the 21st century at Wilkes University. He is employed by Northwest Area Senior High School as a history teacher.
A June 2013 wedding is planned.
