WILKES-BARRE — GAR jumped out to a big first quarter lead before holding on for a 52-47 win against visiting Wyoming Area in high school girls basketball play Monday night.


GAR freshman Marie Skrepenak led all scorers with 14 points while Marena Spence added 13.


Serra Degnan and Abby Thornton each had 10 apiece for Wyoming Area.
