Kingston Township police have arrested brothers Daniel Bartleson, 33, of Kingston, and Erwin Bartleson, 27, of Edwardsville, and charged them with crimes related to theft of mail.
Police said the two are independent contractors who deliver the Citizens' Voice newspaper.
According to department press release, the arrests are a result of several weeks of investigation by Kingston Township police and postal inspector Sean M. Phillips.
Both men were arraigned before District Magistrate James Tupper who set a preliminary hearing for Dec. 20.
The brothers are charged with theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property and were arrested at 3:50 a.m. Thursday by Sgt. Michael Moravec and Officer Charles Rauschkolb.
