Mary Crater and Stephen Joseph Kerestes III, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Irene and George Fristic, Wilkes-Barre.
The prospective groom is the son of Deborah Kerestes, Nanticoke, and Stephen Joseph Kerestes Jr., Plains Township.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Coughlin High School and a 2009 graduate of King's College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and a secondary teaching certificate in mathematics (7-12). She is currently attending King's College, working on a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in mathematics, with a projected graduation of May 2013. She enjoys working as a teacher as well as helping students outside of school as a secondary mathematics instructor at The Learning Center, Kingston.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Coughlin High School, attended Luzerne County Community College and works at Lions Brewery, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride-to-be is the mother of Alexis MaryAnn Crater, 6. The prospective groom is the father of Ryan James Gensel, 3.
They will be a family when the couple exchange vows on May 24, 2013, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Wilkes-Barre. A reception will follow at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre.
