Man stabbed at Sherman Hills; police seek public's help in finding suspect

WILKES-BARRE - City police responded to a report of a man stabbed in the face just after 4 p.m. Friday at 312 N. Empire Court in Sherman Hills apartments.

Police found Akkai Kinlaw, 24, of Parkview Circle in Sherman Hills, lying on the floor with a wound near his right eye.

Kinlaw told police that Keosha McCode, 24, of 312 N. Empire Court, stabbed him after an argument and fled. A witness corroborated his statement, police said.

Kinlaw was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Charges of aggravated assault and simple assault were filed, police said.
