WILKES-BARRE – Brian Tesar, of Wilkes-Barre, faces assault and related charges after an incident at a restaurant/bar on Public Square early Tuesday morning.


Police responded at 12:18 a.m. to a report of a female assault victim at Rodano's and found a woman on the ground bleeding from the nose. Witnesses told police that Tesar struck the woman in the face, police said.


The woman suffered a broken nose and received stitches for a laceration on her face.


Tesar, age unavailable, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, police said.


HANOVER TWP. – Nick Buerger of Diamond Avenue reported Wednesday two televisions and a laptop computer were stolen during a burglary at his residence.


HAZLETON – City police said a gray 1999 Ford Taurus, Pennsylvania license plate GXH-9217, was stolen from the area of North Vine and 13th streets on Wednesday.


LUZERNE – Police charged Jason Okane, 28, of East Main Street, on evidence of driving under the influence and resisting arrest early Tuesday morning.


Okane allegedly drove a vehicle into a ditch while traveling the wrong way in the area of Luzerne Lumber and the North Cross-Valley Expressway at about 3 a.m. Police allege Okane was intoxicated and was stunned by a Taser when he fought with officers and state troopers, according to the criminal complaint.


Okane was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, where he refused to submit to a blood test, police said. He was jailed at the county prison for lack of $20,000 bail.


A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Jan. 10.


HAZLETON – City police are investigating the theft of a vehicle that was parked and left running in the 500 block of Seybert Street at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.


The vehicle, owned by Hertz Vehicles LLC in Cleveland, Ohio, is a white 2012 Dodge Avenger bearing Ohio registration plate EZD2131.


Anyone with information should contact police at 459-4940.


WILKES-BARRE – A man was arraigned Tuesday on charges he entered a former girlfriend's residence by removing a patio door slide.


Rassan S. Hoskins, 24, last known address as Noble Lane, Wilkes-Barre, was charged with criminal trespass and theft. He was jailed at the county prison for lack of $10,000 bail.


According to the criminal complaint:


Jill Materazzi told police she arrived at her Noble Lane residence on Oct. 15 and noticed a rear sliding door had been tampered. Screws were missing from the slide track that caused the door to open.


Materazzi stated Hoskins called her and she realized Hoskins phoned her while he was in the basement of her house, the complaint says.


Hoskins confronted Materazzi and fled the house with her purse, police said.


A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Jan. 8.


WEST PITTSTON – Zachary Thomas Kobeski, 20, of Wilford Street, Pittston, was charged on evidence of drunken driving and a firearm offense after he allegedly crashed a truck into a snow pile in front of officers on Exeter Avenue early Tuesday morning.


Kobeski was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, firearms not to be carried without a license, underage drinking and careless driving. He was jailed at the county prison for lack of $20,000 bail.


According to the criminal complaint:


Police were investigating a separate incident near the Blue Ribbon Farm Dairy at about 12 a.m. Tuesday when Kobeski crashed a truck into a snow pile. Kobeski told police he was worried about a girlfriend inside a residence on Exeter Avenue.


Police allege Kobeski appeared intoxicated and was in possession of a .32 caliber revolver concealed in his jacket.


Due to his age, Kobeski is not eligible to obtain a concealed weapon's permit, police said


A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Jan. 9.


WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:


• A woman reported at 3:44 a.m. Tuesday that someone kicked in the front door of her Sherman Hills apartment at 324 N. Empire Court while she was out and stole money, jewelry and a camera.


• Elzie Tilman III was charged with simple assault and Kevin Roberts was charged with harassment after police responded to a reported fight at 169 Madison St. at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday, police said.


Police found both men, for whom police provided no ages or addresses, on the floor bleeding from their legs. Witnesses told police the men were engaged in a fight, police said.


• A male whom police did not identify reported at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday that two other men jumped him and a friend as they were walking to a house party at 359 New Grant St.


The suspects fled in a two-tone Kia before police arrived.
