An illness has continued the trial of Wilkes-Barre Township Fire Chief John Paul Yuknavich in Luzerne County Court.

Yuknavich, 49, is charged with stealing $11,865 from the department's bank account and using the fire departments's credit card at Sam's Club to rack up $3,706 in charges for personal use, according to the criminal complaint.

The trial was continued due to Yuknavich's attorney, Barry Dyller, suffering from the flu. Trial was rescheduled to Jan. 29.
