Multiple reports of accidents throughout the region, from back roads to interstates, are being reported as snowfall is accumulating.

The below freezing temperatures, coupled with the melting and refreezing of the precipitation, is to blame.

Accidents along I-81, the Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension, the Pierce Street Bridge and other thoroughfares, have been reported.

There's an accident at mile marker 168 northbound on I-81 that occurred at 5:15 p.m. that's causing traffic delays in that area.
