FORTY FORT: The Together We Grow Preschool program, a part of Wyoming Valley Children's Association, 1133 Wyoming Ave., is hosting an open house for prospective students beginning noon-2 p.m. on Feb. 10.
Parents will be able to tour the building, meet the teachers and register. Families are welcome to schedule a visit during Open House Week, Feb. 11-15, or call and schedule a tour at any time.
Together We Grow Preschool is open Monday through Friday for children two-and-a-half years and older. There are morning, afternoon and full-day programs.

FREELAND: MMI Preparatory School is holding a visitation night at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The night will begin with a presentation by the school's administration and will include tours of the school. Information will also be available on the school's curriculum, financial aid, extracurricular activities and other aspects of the MMI experience. Light refreshments will be served.

SHAVERTOWN: Wyoming Valley Dog Squad Troop 221 Dog Scouts of America is hosting a Valentine photo event from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday at Whiting's Pet Supply, 50 N. Memorial Highway.
Jessica Cobb Pet Photography is offering a Valentine-themed, 5 x 7 photo of pets for $10. Raffle tickets for a large Valentine basket will be available for a $5 donation. Proceeds will benefit Wyoming Valley Dog Squad Troop 221 to offset office supply and troop operation costs.
The troop is in the midst of distributing pet oxygen mask kits to 35 fire departments and medic units throughout Luzerne County. Future community service events include accepting donations to purchase more pet oxygen mask kits, a bite prevention education event and fundraising for a veteran to receive a service dog.
WYOMING: The Wyoming Free Library, 358 Wyoming Ave., is starting a LEGO® Club for children ages 6-12. The club will meet 11 a.m.-noon on the first Saturday of every month beginning March 2. Snacks will be provided and there will be local celebrity brick builders each Saturday. There will be occasional contests with prizes. LEGO® building bricks will be provided, but children can bring their own.
A trip to the LEGO® store and other attractions in New York City will take place on May 11 and all members of the club can participate. The group will travel on the Martz Trailways Shoppers Special bus. Each person will be responsible for their own ticket and at least one adult must accompany each child. Tickets for the trip should be purchased well in advance at the Martz Bus station in Wilkes-Barre.
The library is also seeking donations of new or used LEGO® building blocks. Donations can be dropped off at the library.
