Christina Nerbecki and Benjamin Sapp√© were united in the sacrament of marriage Saturday, the fifth of May, 2012, at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre, by the Rev. Joseph Martin.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Gloria Nerbecki. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Anna Dulsky and the late Irene and Stephen Nerbecki Sr., all of Plains Township.
The groom is the son of Louis and Cheryl Sapp√©, Shavertown. He is the grandson of Phyllis Sapp√© and the late Adolph Sapp√©, Dallas, and Iva Coyle, and the late John Coyle, West Pittston.
Given away in marriage by her father, the bride chose Chandra Nerbecki, her sister, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Sims, Melonie Sapp√© and Gina Domulevicz. Carly Yoder was their flower girl.
The groom chose his lifelong friend, James Galliford, as the best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Sims, Stephen Nerbecki III and Les Yoder.
The bride wore a sweetheart A-line organza gown adorned with Swarovski crystals and English lace.
A reception followed in the grand ballroom at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre. The ballroom was decorated with white drapery, red sateen, an ice sculpture and a grand piano that held the couple's nine-tier wedding cake. A bridal shower was hosted by the mothers of the bride and groom at the Apple Tree Terrace, Newberry Estates. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in Dallas.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and a 2000 graduate of Luzerne County Community College. She is employed at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Dallas High School and a 1999 graduate of Luzerne County Community, earning two degrees. He is employed at MFHS.
The newlyweds honeymooned on the beautiful island of Bermuda.
