WILKES-BARRE – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Chinese restaurant Tuesday night.

Police said a male, about 6 feet tall with a blue-and-white bandana on his face walked in to New China, 526 Hazle St., just before 7 p.m. brandishing a black pistol.

The thief demanded cash and left the business with an undetermined amount, running north on Hazle Street toward Parrish Street, police said.

An investigation continues.
