EDWARDSVILLE: The Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church Ethnic Committee is holding its annual St. David’s Day tea at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Sunday School Room of the church, Church and Main streets.
The toastmaster for this year’s tea is J. David Jones, chair of the Board of Deacons of the church.
The musical program for the evening is entitled “With A Song In My Heart” by T. Doyle Leverett. Leverett has performed on Broadway in more than 200 musical productions. He has also performed with the New York City Opera with performances at Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London. He was a co-founder of the Music Box Playhouse and directed many productions. He teaches and coaches voice students in his own studio and is the artistic director for the first professional theatre in northeastern Pennsylvania, Actor’s Cabaret Theatre, debuting this summer and fall. Leverett will be accompanied by Brenda Nighbert, Forty Fort.
A time of hymn singing will take place during the evening with Carol Wolosz directing and Tom Myers accompanying on the organ. The Rev. Louis Falcone, pastor, will give remarks. Gifts will be awarded to the oldest woman and man in attendance.
A Te Bach (Welsh Tea) will follow under the direction of Eleanor Vojtko and Betty Jones serving a variety of homemade breads, Welsh cookies, cheese, jams, coffee and tea.
John and Sally DiRico are the co-chairs of the Ethnic Committee.

HANOVER TWP.: Photos will be taken with the Easter Bunny from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Village Pet Supplies and Gifts, Dundee Plaza, Sans Souci Parkway.
All pets and children are welcome. Photos are $7 each, payable with cash or check. All proceeds will be used to help spay and neuter the pets of families with financial need.
