Portrait photographer Steve Lewis announced he is seeking local combat veterans from World War II to the present day for his portrait project, “Faces of Valor.”

Lewis said he plans to capture “simple portraits, to capture their spirit. To serve as a tangible remembrance of their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their comrades.”

The photographer hopes to display the portraits of these extraordinary people in a public exhibit and encourages local businesses to come forward to host the portraits. Those combat veterans from the WWII era to the present wishing to participate may contact Lewis at (570) 592-2938 to volunteer to have their portrait taken for this project. There will be no cost to the war veterans for the photo shoot. Photos will be available for purchase.
