Holy Cross senior receives Presidential Service Award

Emily Okrepkie, a senior at Holy Cross High School, was awarded the Presidential Service Award from the White House at the Holy Cross Academic Awards Banquet.


The Presidential Service Award is given to high school students who have exemplified outstanding service within their communities. Okrepkie is a volunteer for the LPGA girls golf program, Head Start and Our Lady of the Snows parish.


Okrepkie, the daughter of Ken Okrepkie and Kim Pavlick of Dalton, is a member of the Holy Cross girls varsity golf team, the varsity cheerleading team and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Scholars program. She is senior class president and vice-president of the National Honor Society.
