The first and seventh-grade classes of Holy Rosary School, under the direction of Mrs. Lauren Gedrich and Mrs. Jennifer Snyder, united their classes for a “Buddy Project” on Johnny Appleseed Day.

Older children were paired with younger children and together they learned about Johnny Appleseed, talked about age-appropriate concepts such as “parts” and “whole” and made and enjoyed homemade applesauce together.

This program will continue throughout the year, allowing the younger children to bond with the older children, who in turn look out for and serve as role models to the younger children.
