The Commonwealth Medical College’s (TCMC) students will host the fourth annual Turkey Trot: 5K Walk/Run in downtown Scranton on Saturday, Nov. 2.
The event will also feature a Tiny Trot for those 13 years of age and under. Proceeds of the students’ community fundraiser will benefit the Friends of the Poor annual Thanksgiving community dinner.
Check in for the Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run begins at 7:30 a.m. in the main lobby of the TCMC Medical Sciences Building, 525 Pine St., Scranton. The Tiny Trot steps off at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K Walk/Run begins at 9 a.m.
Race day registration is $25 for participants ages 14 and above, those interested can pre-register online for $20. T-shirts will be provided to registered Turkey Trot participants. Registration is $5 for the Tiny Trot, ages 4-13, or two canned goods to be donated to the food drive.
The 5K Walk/Run route begins and ends at TCMC’s Medical Sciences Building.
Turkey Trot participants are also invited to bring food and clothing donations the morning of the race.
