HANOVER TWP. — Using dental records, forensic investigators from the Luzerne County Coroner’s office on Wednesday identified the body of a man found in the Susquehanna River Sunday morning.

What caused the death of Sean Obitz, 35, of Plains Township, is unknown pending toxicology results. Coroner William Lisman said Obitz’ death is not considered suspicious. Lisman said Obitz had been dead for some time before he was discovered by a fisherman. It is unclear when, exactly, he died.
