Pittston Area Athletic Department recently hosted senior night at Charlie Trippi Stadium. Senior football players, cheerleaders and band members were honored for their hard work and dedication throughout the fall sports season.

The Patriot Marching Band performed both on the road and at home before, during and after each game. The selection of music, which encompassed everything from Sesame Street to the Michigan fight song, were enjoyed by fans throughout the season.

The always flashy and jubilant Pittston cheerleaders were there every step of the way, through 10 games and numerous off-field obligations. The red and blue could be seen from one end of Charlie Trippi Stadium. And let’s not forget the extraordinary banners the girls made for the players to run through prior to each contest.

Pittston Area’s football team will lose nearly 20 seniors from the 2013 squad. The Patriots finished 3-7, with their biggest win coming against cross-river rival Wyoming Area, 28-14.
