It was about more than field hockey in a game between Pittston Area and Wyoming Area. And although the scoreboard showed Wyoming Area came out on top, the real winners were those stricken with eating disorders.

The Fourth Annual I Am Beautiful Game was held in Hughestown and raised over $2,000 for the National Eating Disorder Association. The day was about two communities coming out for a good cause.

The four chairmen of the event were Alexa Danko, Nicole Chaiko, Rachel Lazevnick and Meredith Yozwiak, who suffers from an eating disorder herself. Her sister, Mallory, was the brainchild of the event when her younger sister was troubled by an eating disorder years back.

Wyoming Area won the game, 6-1. Grace Angelella scored a pair of goals while Bree Bednarski, Lexi Crossley, Emile Wanko and Grace Gober finished off tallies. Pittston Area’s Julie Lieback had the Patriots’ only goal.
