Gently-used adult and children’s winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves are needed for the fifth annual coat giveaway to be held by The Greater Pittston Food Pantry.

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Parish Center, 35 William St., Pittston by Friday, Dec. 13.

Donations of suits, clothing or shoes are not needed and will not be accepted. Coats will be made available to registered, low-income households of the food pantry on Dec. 18 during the pantry’s Christmas Turkey and Trimmings Giveaway.

Volunteers are needed to carry food items to the parking lot from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the former Seton Auditorium on Church Street.
