The Greater Pittston Friendly Sons of St. Patrick will be hosting their annual Black Shamrock Open on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Course. The format of the tournament is Captain and Crew and entry fee is $80 per golfer.
The event will tee off at 1:30 p.m. with refreshments at the course, and a buffet meal following the tournament at the golf course. Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. Registration should be completed as soon as possible.
The tournament committee meets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the K of C in Pittston.

Friendly Sons member Bob Calpin will be on hand with golf tips at the start of the tournament.
Last year, the Greater Pittston Friendly Sons of St. Patrick awarded scholarships to two students totaling $5,000 and the proceeds from this event will benefit the Greater Pittston Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Scholarship Program.
Summer elementary camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 14-18 at the field hockey complex for a fee of $80. Camp is open to boys and girls grades K-6 any school for fall 2014. The next association meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24 at the Moose Lodge in West Pittston. All parents of field hockey players in grades 7-12 for fall 2014 are encouraged to attend.
The Sticks Down for Eric Tournament was rescheduled for Saturday, June 21. The tournament will be rescheduled at a later date. Updates to come.
WA tennis team
to host clinic
The Wyoming Area tennis team will host a clinic July 14-18. There are two sessions available: 9 to 10:30 a.m. for ages 5-8 and 10:30 a.m. to noon for ages 9 to 12.
The clinic will be held at the Wyoming Area tennis courts, Boston Avenue, Exeter (across from the WA football stadium.

WA Junior High
The Wyoming Area Junior High soccer team will conduct conditioning sessions from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 16, and from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 18 at the Tenth Street field. For more information contact 570-655-6130.

King’s College Lady Monarch Girls Basketball Camp will be held the week of July 21-25 and will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday at King’s College.

booster club meeting
Pittston Area Patriots will be having its next Booster Club Meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 in the Cefalo Center. Topics of discussion will be Media Day, Doubles and food for doubles. We will also be looking for parents to help with Media Day. We will also set up a date and time to clean the stand. Booster Buck sales are going on now. We will be at the stand on Tuesday night from 5-7 p.m. so the kids can cash in there Booster Bucks and you can also purchase clothing at this time. If anyone has any Sponsors for the Program Book please turn them in by July 27th, personal or business we need them so we can start working on the book. We also need more Business ones if anybody knows of any businesses that would like to get there name out there. We thank you all for your continued support of the boys and the program.
