DALLAS: Trinity Presbyterian Church, 105 Irem Road, is holding an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. on March 5. The imposition of ashes and the celebration of the Lord’s supper will be observed. The public is invited.
DALLAS: St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is sponsoring a support group for grandparents raising grandchildren.
The group will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the church, beginning on March 12. Childcare will be provided as needed.
The support group will provide an opportunity for grandparents to gather and discuss common issues and concerns ranging from legal custody and educational concerns to general child-rearing issues.
The group is one of four in Luzerne County to address the unique needs of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. The program is open to any grandparent who is either partially or fully raising a grandchild.

LEHMAN TWP.: The Lehman-Idetown United Methodist women will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Linda Pineno will give a presentation with slides on her European trip. All women of the church are urged to attend. Hostesses are Ruth Jones, Jennifer Romanowski and Mandy Newman.
MOUNTAIN TOP: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 316 S. Mountain Blvd., is hosting a blood drive from 1-5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pysanky egg-making classes are being offered during Lent. Classes will be held on Sundays from Feb. 23 to April 13. There is a one-time cost of $6 for materials. The church will be hosting a chicken and waffle dinner from 3-6 p.m. on March 22. Eat in or take out. Costs are $9 for adults, $4 for children 5-9 and free for children younger than 3.
