First National Community Bank (FNCB) recently raised $800 for area soup kitchens and food pantries through a bank-wide ‘SOUPerbowl Friday’ employee dress down day. Employees were encouraged to wear jeans and gear from their favorite NFL team for a small donation on the Friday before the Super Bowl. Proceeds from the event were divided between four local organizations: St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen, Scranton; CEO/Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank, Wilkes-Barre; Wayne County Food Pantry, Honesdale; and Helping Hands Food Pantry, Stroudsburg.
