(AP) Stock futures are almost at a standstill as markets await any hint of changes in Fed thinking in minutes from its July economic policy meeting.

The U.S. Federal Reserve releases those minutes Wednesday. There are no major earnings or other economic indicators out Monday.

Dow Jones industrial futures are down a point to 15,037. S&P futures have added a tenth of a point to 1,651.200. Nasdaq futures are up 3 points to 3,072.75.

Investors also may be in a holding pattern until the next raft of earnings reports from retailers arrives Tuesday.

The retail sector got off to a dismal start last week. Wal-Mart, Macy’s and Nordstrom cut their outlooks for the year.

J.C. Penney, Target, the Gap, Home Depot, Saks, Sears and others report quarterly earnings this week.
