Downtown W-B Business Association hosting Easter egg hunt

The Downtown Wilkes-Barre Businesses Association promotions committee is holding its fifth annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday on Public Square, Wilkes-Barre. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 10 a.m. on a Wilkes-Barre fire engine. Children ages 10 and younger will be able to gather some of the more than 5,000 prize- and candy-filled eggs. Prizes include bicycles, baskets and other gifts donated by downtown businesses. The Easter Bunny will remain to take photos with children after the hunt. Parking is available in the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center lot on Pennsylvania Avenue. Other activities will be held throughout the day at participating downtown businesses. Events include story time, featuring the Easter Bunny, at Barnes and Noble at 11 a.m.; a puppet show and crafts at the Osterhout Free Library from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and a face painter and balloon artist in Midtown Village.
