Each week, the Sunday Dispatch will feature senior students from Pittston Area. Each student will have an opportunity to tell the Greater Pittston area a little about themselves.

Liz Brandt

Liz Brandt is a resident of Duryea. She was born on October 27, 1996, to her mother, Barbara.

Liz really enjoyed Mrs. Vincelli’s and Ms. Oliver’s classes and refers to them as her favorite teachers. You’ll often find Liz hanging out in the hallways with her two best friends, fellow seniors Rhonda Miller and Ashlee Gyles. Liz dedicates a lot of her time to being an officer in the Student Council and she holds down a part-time job.

After graduation she plans on attending college.

Michael Bunney

Michael Bunney, son of Dawn Bunney and Chris Sarringer, resides in Avoca. He was born on May 5, 1997.

Michael’s favorite teachers throughout his high school journey are Mrs. Plis and Mr. Carroll. He wishes he joined more clubs earlier in his high school career, but now he participates in many including Ice Club, Stand Tall Club, and the yearbook staff. Even though Michael thinks paying attention is the hardest part of high school, he manages excellent grades and is a part of the National Honor Society. When asked to describe high school in one word, he chose “busy.”

Michael loves to cook and his favorite food is chicken pot pie. When not cooking up a delicious meal, you may find him hanging out with his best friends Zack Conway, Josh Kramer, Madison Cardinale, and Kristen Capitano.

Michael plans to attend West Chester University. He has long term goals of having a family and living a good life.

Theresa Domarasky

Theresa Domarasky, son of Elizabeth and Michael, resides in Pittston Township. She was born on September 17, 1996.

Theresa’s favorite teachers throughout high school are Mr. Carroll, Ms. Martin, and Ms. Kotula. When asked to describe high school in one word she chose “memorable,” but she found waking up and going to school to be a challenge.

If Theresa could teach any class in the world she would teach anatomy. After she graduates she plans to attend college for either dental hygiene or medical imaging. She is looking forward to seeing if what she wants to do now is really what she will end up doing.
