Timmy Walsh will go far and wide to get the perfect shot for his Camera For A Cure. Walsh recently traveled to New York City with his camera in tow. While there, Walsh met former New York Giants football player and current Live with Kelly and Michael host, Michael Strahan while on the set of Live with Kelly and Michael. Afterwards, while walking Central Park, Walsh met Sam Champion of Good Morning America and host of Sea Rescue. In addition to rubbing elbows with celebrities, Walsh enjoyed snapping photos and touring the Financial District. Wanting to become a mathematician and a professor (after retiring from the New York Yankees), Walsh is interested in the history behind Wall Street.

With summer coming to an end, Walsh will end his summer fundraising for Lung Cancer Alliance with a Scranton Wilkes Barre RailRiders baseball game August 18 at 1:05. Bleacher tickets are available for $8 by contacting CFAC at [email protected] or calling (570) 604-4355. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Lung Cancer Alliance.

Camera For A Cure is a non profit fundraising project started by Timmy Walsh, then 5 years old, with his first show at 6 years old. Walsh takes photographs and sells them with proceeds going to the Lung Cancer Alliance. Now, at the age of 11, he continues to raise funds for cancer research along with other diseases and causes. He is an Olyphant resident and a student at Wyoming Seminary Lower School.

The Lung Cancer Alliance Pennsylvania chapter will hold its monthly support group meeting on Wednesday, August 7 at 6:30 at the Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care, 5 Morgan Highway, Scranton.
