Overlooking the beach in Avalon, New Jersey was the setting, September 20 for the wedding of Janine Lapsansky Thomas and Ronald Dennis Shofran Jr., both of Old Forge. The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Janice Lapsansky, Old Forge. The bridegroom is the son of Ronald and Marcia Shofran Sr., Weatherly.
Mayor Suzanne Walters officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony. The couple was attended by their children, JJ Thomas and Jennie Thomas, both of Old Forge; Allison Shofran and Joshua Shofran, both of Nazareth. A reception was held at the Golden Inn, Avalon, New Jersey.
The bride is a graduate of Old Forge High School. She is a sales administrative assistant for the Trane Company of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Pittston. The bridegroom is a graduate of Marion Catholic High School. He is the Service Manager for the Trane Company of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Pittston.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico the couple resides in Old Forge.
