Montessori students participate in poster contest

Students of the Wyoming Valley Montessori School recently participated in the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest sponsored by the Kingston Lions Club. This year’s theme was ‘Imagine Peace.’ The local winners received certificates and monetary gifts. Honored students were: Oscar Scharrer, Wilkes-Barre, first place; Jessica Kline, Mountain Top, second place; and Alex Kristeller, Shavertown, third place. Their awards were presented by Mark Mizenko, president, Kingston Lions Club. At the awards presentation, from left, first row, are Kline and Scharrer.
