(AP) A survivor of the Boston Marathon bombings who was shown in a widely publicized photo staggering away from the scene of the explosions wants people to remember the victims of the April 15 blasts.
James "Bim" Costello, a 30-year-old Harvard University employee, says he'll make a full recovery. But, now that a month has passed since the explosions, he doesn't want people to forget other victims with life-changing injuries.
The Malden, Mass., resident had surgeries to graft pig skin onto his right arm and right leg because of burns. He still has shrapnel in his body.
A Boston University student newspaper photographer captured the image of Costello, and The Associated Press got permission to distribute it. It shows him staggering in the street, his jeans shredded and blackened.
