District news


Thursday, Oct. 31 will be an Act 80 day. Students will be dismissed as follows: High school at noon; Middle school at 12:30 p.m.; Intermediate and Primary Center at 1 p.m.


Middle school


Middle School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and Wednesday, Oct. 30.


Student Council cookie dough fundraiser order forms will be due no later than Tuesday. Orders will be delivered on Nov. 21.


The First Builders Club meeting will be held from 3 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29 in Ms. Beseda’s and Mr. Struckus’ rooms. Students are responsible for their own transportation home and all rides must be in front of the middle school no later than 3:30 p.m.


Intermediate Center


Brace’s Apple Orchard will visit the IC from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the gym. They will have all their apple products for sale in celebration of Apple Month. All students will visit the market during the day. Parents are also invited to attend.


Any student who purchased a “Power of One” T-shirt may wear it on Friday, Oct. 25. Jeans and sneakers are permitted only for students who purchased the T-shirt.


PTO will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30.


There will be no Halloween parade this year at the IC; however, all students are encouraged to dress in their costumes. No weapons of any kind are allowed. Activities will take place during the day in the classrooms.


Any student who is involved in the Talent Show is reminded that practices are from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays (except Oct. 31) in the Middle school cafeteria. Transportation arrangements are to be made prior to each practice.
