Dana Kintner, of Lehman, was among Misericordia University students enrolled in the weekday occupational therapy master’s degree program who received their pins and presented their group research projects during the annual Graduate Research Presentation Conference.
TO DEAN’S LIST
Four Back Mountain residents have earned Dean’s List honors for the Fall 2013 semester at Saint Joseph’s University. They are:
Kristen Boyle, of Shavertown, majoring in Psychology; Matthew Slavoski, of Shavertown, majoring in Chemistry; Lindsey Stamer, of Tunkhannock, majoring in Classical Studies; and Michael Strellish, of Wyoming, majoring in Finance.
Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean’s List status for a semester.
Nicole Negron and Maia Painter, both of Dallas, were among Misericordia University students inducted into the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society during an induction ceremony.
Air Force Airman Ashlee M. Barker graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Barker is the daughter of Carolyn A. Barker and granddaughter of Geneva Jumper, both of Hunlock Creek. She is a 2013 graduate of Lake-Lehman Junior/Senior High School.
DEL GAUDIO IS
Marisa Del Gaudio, of Dallas, was awarded the Thomas C. Conover Memorial Scholarship at the 2014 Elizabethtown College Department of Biology Awards Biology.
The Conover Scholarship was established in 1976 in memory of Conover (class of 1970) by his friends and family to assist others in the study of biology. Criteria of award winners includes academic achievement, scientific attitude and personal character.
Del Gaudio is the daugher of Patti and the late Walter Del Gaudio, of Dallas.
Joshua Ford, of Harveys Lake, was among seven students at Misericordia University inducted into Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society in Philosophy.
