NIE Mission Statement

The Times Leader Newspaper in Education program responds to educational needs in Northeastern Pennsylvania by providing educators with newspapers in their classrooms to be used as an innovative teaching tool. NIE is also a cooperative effort that involves area businesses and organizations.
