MotorWorld Toyota recently awarded Dinners For Kids a grant of $5,000 to assist in solving childhood hunger. Dinners for Kids provides freshly prepared, nutritious and balanced dinners free of charge to children from low-income families, referred by Children & Youth and school guidance counselors. The program was founded seven years ago by David Tevet, former owner of Ollie’s restaurant, and is sponsored by the Commission On Economic Opportunity (CEO). It serves approximately 160 at-risk children with meals prepared by Ollie’s Restaurant staff and by Metz at Misericordia.
