CENTER MORELAND — The Center Moreland United Methodist Church, Creamery Road, Tunkhannock, will hold regular worship at 10 a.m. Dec. 24. A candlelight service will take place at 7 p.m.

DRIFTON — St. James Episcopal Church, 2207 St. Route 940, Drifton, PA will hold Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24; there will be no worship services that Sunday morning. Everyone is welcome to join us in this Christmas celebration service. Info, 570-956-3881.

EDWARDSVILLE — The Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church, Church and Main streets, Edwardsville, will hold their annual Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24. The Rev. Shawn Walker will conduct the service. Special music will be provided by the choir and Morris Walker. The service will conclude with the singing of “Silent Night” in candlelight. All are invited to attend.

HANOVER TWP. — Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, 420 N. Main Road, in the Buttonwood section of Hanover Township, will hold a Soup for the Souls sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 11. LARKSVILLE — St. John the Baptist Church, 126 Nesbitt St., Larksville, will present its new Christmas play, “The Gold Wrapping Paper: Living Nativity 2017” at 4 p.m. Dec. 24. The production is inspired by the true story of a family’s tragedy at Christmas during the Great Depression. 570-779-9620

LEHMAN — The Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, 1011 Mountain View Drive, Lehman, will hold its Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24.

MOUNTAIN TOP — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 316 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, will hold one service on the morning of Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, at 10 a.m. with light refreshments before and after service. Evening services on Christmas Eve will take place at 7 and 10 p.m. There will be an open house at the Kaufmans’ home on Dec. 31. The festivities begin after 3 p.m. and continue until the last person leaves.

MOUNTAIN TOP — Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 7768 Blue Ridge Trail, Mountain Top, will holds its Christmas Eve Candlelight Celebration at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Sunday worship will take place at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24.

NANTICOKE — St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 231 State Street, Nanticoke, announces its Christmas Eve candlelight schedule of services at 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Note: These will be the only services on Sunday, Dec. 24.

NANTICOKE — St. Faustina Parish, 520 S Hanover St, Nanticoke, will hold “Monday Night Worship” at 7 pm. Jan. 8. Come join us for a Holy Hour of praise and worship with the word music. NANTICOKE — The Annual Respect Life Mass, sponsored by the Wyoming Valley Councils, Knights of Columbus, will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at St. Faustina Parish, 520 Hanover Street, Nanticoke. The Knights of Columbus, along with Pro-Life Representatives, will offer prayer intentions during the Mass for a greater respect of all Human Life and to end abortion. The Rev. WILKES-BARRE — St. Stephen’s Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, 35 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, will have no 8 a.m. service on Dec. 24 and a 10:30 a.m. Right I with music. Christmas Eve services will be held at 4:30, 10:30 and 11 p.m. Dec. 24. Christmas Day service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 25. Celtic Spirituality Nights will take place at 6 p.m. Dec. 30 and Jan. 27.

WILKES-BARRE — The Jewish Community Alliance, 60 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre , will host a Stroke Awareness Talk at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 11. A meeting of the book club will take place at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 18 to discuss “Lilac Girls” by Martha Hall Kelly. The book is available at Barnes & Noble in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
