Eighth graders help ‘St. Nicholas’ deliver treats at St. Jude School

On the Feast of Saint Nicholas, Dec. 6, the Saint Jude School community received a visit from the Bishop himself. In what has become an annual school tradition since Sister Ellen Fischer became principal, Saint Nicholas visits with the children and gives them each a small snack and gift. The children learn all about this generous saint and the origins of Santa Clause and of how he came to children and left a small something in their shoe on his feast day. The Eighth Grade students helped Saint Nicholas pass out goodies to all of the younger students during his visit. A very special thank you to Carone’s Supermarket for their generous donation of treats. Eighth grade helpers shown with St. Nick are, first row: Michael Nicotera, Daryl Boich, William Wolfgang, Aubrey Jumper, Jordyn Chepolis, Kathryn McIngvale. Second row: Christopher Papciak, Thomas Mayernik, Ethan Stoltz, St. Nick, Sophia Bere, Kyra Hayden, Edward Patrick.
