Book on area Christian radio stations released

A new book, ‘Vision to Reality,’ by Shirley Updyke was recently released in celebration of WRGN-FM’s 25th anniversary. The book details the founding of the Christian radio stations WRGN and WIVH, located on Route 1 18 in Sweet Valley, in 1984 by lifelong residents Burl and Shirley Updyke. The Updykes are also the founders of Country Impressions Inc., which is now owned and operated by their sons, Alan and Duane Updyke. For more information, call 800-245-3688. In the center, state Rep. Karen Boback, R-Harveys Lake, presents a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the Updykes at the anniversary banquet.
