Chicken barbecue Saturday at Central United Methodist Church

The Board of Trustees of Central United Methodist Church, 65 Academy St., Wilkes-Barre, will sponsor a chicken barbecue from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday with takeouts available. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 years and younger. Reservations and tickets are available by calling the church office at 822-7246 or at the door. Some members of the planning committee, from left, are: Amelia Kelly, Don Devans, Loraine Honeywell, Sarah Jones, John Jones, Rodney Kaiser, Kris Jones, Rachel Goetzke, Jackie Thoma, the Rev.
