The 120th Cynonfardd Eisteddfod, a competitive festival of music and poetry for all ages, will take place Saturday at the Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church, Church and Main streets, Edwardsville. The deadline to enter the competition is today by contacting Sally Morgan DiRico, secretary, at 868-5928. Prizes will be awarded at the two competitions at 1 p.m. for children and 7 p.m. for adults. A Gymanfa Ganu (Welsh Hymn Sing) begins at 6:30 p.m. and a ham and chicken dinner will be available between sessions. The price for adults is $10 and $5 for children.
