The Harveys Lake Protective Association has dedicated a flagpole with a plaque on the center traffic island at the lake in honor of the late Harold Ney, who was instrumental in getting the flagpole erected. State Sen. Karen Boback, R-Harveys Lake, joined members of Ney’s family and members of HLPA for the dedication. At the ceremony on the left are John Halbing, HLPA vice president; Mark Sobeck, past president; Frank Koneski; Joe Grablick; John Brokenshire; Judy Ney Brokenshire; Rose Caffrey; Bryan Brokenshire; Nathan Caffrey; and James Brokenshire.
